If you’re planning a wedding in Tulsa, Oklahoma, you already know the city has more to offer than most people expect. From elegant downtown ballrooms to sweeping ranch properties and intimate garden spaces, Tulsa’s wedding venue scene is rich with options. As wedding videographers who have filmed across the city, we’ve seen what these venues look like through a lens — and we’re sharing our favorites.

This guide is designed to help Tulsa couples find the right venue for their style, budget, and guest count. We’ve included notes on what each venue looks like on film, because the visual environment matters more than most couples realize.

Elegant Ballroom & Event Spaces

The Mayo Hotel

One of Tulsa’s most iconic buildings, the Mayo Hotel offers a stunning historic ballroom with soaring ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and classic Art Deco architecture. On film, this venue is a dream — the warm golden lighting and ornate details create a timeless backdrop. Best for: couples who want a grand, formal celebration with a historic Oklahoma feel.

Harwelden Mansion

A beautiful Tudor Revival mansion on the Arkansas River, Harwelden offers indoor and outdoor ceremony options surrounded by manicured grounds. The natural light through the tall windows is gorgeous on camera, and the exterior stone architecture films beautifully during golden hour.

Outdoor & Garden Venues

Tulsa Garden Center

Set within the stunning Woodward Park, the Tulsa Garden Center is one of the city’s most beloved outdoor wedding spaces. Ceremonies in the rose garden are particularly beautiful on film — lush greenery, natural diffused light, and a timeless garden setting. Note: book well in advance as this venue is in very high demand.

The Meadows at Tulsa

A newer outdoor venue with rolling green space, string lights, and rustic-modern barn elements. Drone footage here is spectacular — the open landscape gives aerial shots great visual depth. Perfect for couples wanting a relaxed, countryside feel within the Tulsa metro.

Modern & Industrial

The Alhambra

A restored historic building with exposed brick, tall ceilings, and industrial design elements. The high ceilings allow for excellent lighting setups, and the architectural details add visual interest to every shot. Great for couples who want an urban, editorial-style wedding film.

Gilcrease Hills

With panoramic views of Tulsa and surrounding greenery, Gilcrease Hills is one of the few venues in the area that offers truly stunning drone footage opportunities. The hilltop ceremony location, surrounded by native Oklahoma landscape, films beautifully at any time of day.

Unique & Intimate

The Boxyard

Tulsa’s Boxyard is a shipping container-based retail and event district in the East Village. For couples who want something unconventional, the industrial-chic aesthetic and outdoor courtyard make for a distinctive and visually interesting wedding film. Best for smaller guest counts and couples with a creative, non-traditional vision.

Philbrook Museum of Art

One of the most visually stunning venues in Oklahoma, Philbrook offers Italian villa-style architecture, formal gardens, and gallery spaces. If your budget allows, this venue photographs and films better than almost any other space in Tulsa.

Tips for Choosing a Tulsa Wedding Venue

Think about lighting. Venues with large windows and natural light are generally the most flattering. Venues with very low, warm lighting can look beautiful but require more skilled camera work.

Check drone regulations. If aerial footage is important to you, verify whether the venue and surrounding airspace permits licensed drone use. Many outdoor Tulsa venues do allow drones, but always confirm in advance.

Visit at your ceremony time. The sun angle at 2pm is completely different from 5pm. If you’re having an outdoor ceremony, visit the venue at the exact time your ceremony is scheduled to see what the light looks like.
